Talk about falling just a little: Andruw Jones has reportedly agreed to a minor league deal with the Rangers that will pay him $500,000 if he makes it to Texas. He can make up to $1 million with the incentives. Jones reportedly turned down an offer from the Yankees, I'm guessing for the same type of deal, to work with Rangers hitting coach Rudy Jaramillo. It sounds like he has finally realized his career might actually be in trouble.
The Braves have offered Tom Glavine a one-year contract with a base salary of $1-$2 million. He can make up to $3 million with the incentives. He is said to be mulling it over. Maybe he will take so long to consider it that the Braves will actually realize what they're doing. I do not understand the purpose of this.
